Becoming a creator from the mobile app
The Skool-style flow: tap once, finish on web inside the app, you're a creator.
You can become a creator without leaving the mobile app. The signup + checkout happens in an in-app browser; once you're done, the app refreshes and you're a creator with full creator-side access.
How it works
- Open the Communities tab or your Profile tab.
- Tap the Start your community card.
- An in-app browser opens our pricing page.
- Pick a creator plan and complete Stripe Checkout (this happens inside the browser sheet β Apple/Google still see it as a web purchase, not native).
- The browser closes. The app refreshes your profile automatically.
- You're now a creator. Head to Profile β Creator dashboard to set up your first community.
Why it's not native
Apple's App Store rules don't allow native Stripe Checkout for subscriptions inside iOS apps β you'd be forced to use Apple In-App Purchase with a 15β30% cut. The in-app browser flow is the standard pattern across B2B SaaS apps (Skool, Notion, Linear, etc.) and avoids that.
What if I close the browser mid-checkout?
Nothing happens. Your account stays a normal user account. Re-tap the Start button to try again.
Mobile vs. web creator capabilities
Most creator features work on mobile (analytics, posts, sessions, profile, business). Some are intentionally desktop-only:
- Multi-page site builder (needs wider canvas)
- Admin panel
- Plan editor
- Advanced course content authoring (the simpler editor works on mobile)
