Adding an assignment to a lesson

Assignments let students submit work that you review individually — written responses, file uploads, or both.

To add an assignment

1. In the lesson editor, scroll to the Assignment section
2. Write the instructions (rich text + any reference materials)
3. Save the lesson

Submissions flow

Students see the assignment at the bottom of the lesson → write a response and/or upload files → submit. The lesson is marked "submitted" but not yet complete.

Reviewing

From the lesson editor, click View submissions → see each student's response → approve (marks lesson complete) or request changes (sends them notes to revise). Students get a notification when you review.
