Managing members
Roles, permissions, bans, and invites.
Roles
Every member has one of four roles in your community:
- Owner β full control, only one per community (you, by default)
- Admin β can manage settings, members, content, and revenue. Cannot transfer ownership or archive the community.
- Moderator β can pin posts, delete content, mute/ban members. Cannot change settings.
- Member β regular participant
Promoting / demoting
Go to Members tab β click the role badge next to any member β pick the new role. Owner-only: can promote to admin. Admin: can promote to moderator or member.
Removing or banning
From the same member row, click the actions menu β Ban (loses access immediately, can't rejoin) or Remove (loses access, can rejoin).
Inviting
The Invite button in your community sidebar opens a dialog with two options: send an email invite directly OR generate a shareable link you can post anywhere.
